Laura Kubick is the Assistant Conservator of Objects and Variable Art at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, where she works with all types of objects in the IMA's diverse collection. Her recent work has included treatment of an 18th century polychromed Christ figure, treatment of works by Thornton Dial, research on a painted cabinet by Emile Bernard, and preparation of objects in the IMA's contemporary design and Asian collections for exhibition. Before joining the staff at the IMA, Laura completed a Smithsonian Post-graduate Fellowship in Conservation at Smithsonian American Art Museum where she evaluated potential coatings for marble sculpture in an indoor environment. She earned a Master of Science from the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation in 2010 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota.
