Alton Bowman is senior conservator and owner of Alton Bowman Studio in Flower Mound Texas, near Dallas, since 1970. He studied art at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia, and Northwood School of Contemporary Art. He participated in the first French Furniture Study Tour in 2001. He conserves furniture and frames for museum and private collections in Texas and surrounding states, specializing in 18th and 19th century French styles. Public collections include the Kimbell Museum of Art, Dallas Museum of Art, Amon Carter Museum of Art, and Meadows Museum of Art, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
