Keepsafe Microclimate Systems

Booth 23
Toronto, ON, Canada
Keepsafe Systems was founded in 1990 by Jerry Shiner to market and distribute supplies for storage and treatment of museum artefacts. Initial offerings included barrier films, Ageless oxygen absorbers, and the advice and expertise needed to properly use these novel materials.

Keepsafe Systems began to market active microclimate control machines for Al Jacob's Micro Climate Technology Inc. Success was immediate, and in 2003 Mr. Shiner became a founding partner in Microclimate Technologies International Inc (MTII), carrying on the development of new microclimate devices. As MTII's public face (Director of Sales & Marketing), Mr. Shiner was responsible for the development and installation of many active microclimate control systems.

In 2008 Mr. Shiner resigned as a director of MTII to concentrate on the design, procurement and installation of microclimate systems, expanding the products available and redeveloping his active microclimate control units to reflect consumer needs and technological advances.

Keepsafe Microclimate Systems is a division of Object & Textile Conservation Services Inc.
