Gregory Bailey

Recipient of the Booth Family Rome Prize in Historic Preservation and Conservation (Treatment performed while Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Objects Conservation at the Walters Art Museum, Baltimore)

Gregory Bailey received an M.A. in Art Conservation from Buffalo State College in 2011. He is currently the recipient of the Booth Family Rome Prize in Historic Preservation and Conservation at the American Academy in Rome, researching the craft origins of Venetian enamels on copper. Gregory has previously served as Assistant Objects Conservator at the Walters Art Museum, Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in Objects Conservation at the Walters Art Museum, and Samuel H. Kress Fellow in Objects Conservation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Gregory also serves as an associate editor on the board of the Journal of the American Institute for Conservation (JAIC).
