Lucy-Anne Skinner currently works independently as an archaeological conservator and is involved with several projects in Egypt. She is PI for the “Conservation of Bio-archaeology” project at Abydos and a Lead Conservator of the “Coffin Conservation Project” at Tel el Amarna. Recent work includes a two-year A.W. Mellon Teaching Fellowship in Conservation Education and 5 months sabbatical replacement as Assistant Professor in Objects Conservation, at SUNY Buffalo State in the USA. Areas of specialism and interest include teaching, research into ancient technology and the conservation and investigation of organic materials such as leather, wood and human and animal remains.
