Responsible for directing the preservation and conservation of the historical collections held by the Indiana Historical Society. Directs all functions of the Conservation Lab. Supervisor to two full time conservators. Oversees the process and carries out long-term preservation plan of Wm. H. Smith Memorial special collection library, and departmental outreach through the Historic Document Preservation Program. Consults and assists IHS Exhibitions department, Local History Services, and Public Programming with preservation issues.

Awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and a Samuel H. Kress Foundation Fellowship to attend one year tutored program in textile conservation. An independant study also included a practical on Ciba Giegy dye processes on protein fibers; collaborative treatment on a parlor screen and a silk banner. Thesis on 12 Sudanese archeological textile fragments including documentation, treatment and housing for study collection.
