John Bertonaschi received an MFA in Book Arts from the University of Alabama before completing an internship in the Conservation Lab at the Folger Shakespeare Library. John has been working in the Conservation Division at the Library of Congress for 28 years, where he is a currently a Senior Book Conservator. He is particularly interested in wooden board bindings and in the techniques of medieval craftsmanship.
