Marianne Russell Marti has been in private conservation practice since 1988, as president of Russell-Marti Conservation Services, Inc., located in Central Missouri. She holds an undergraduate degree in Art History from Washington University in St. Louis, and an MA and Certificate of Advanced Study in Art Conservation from Buffalo State College. Marianne worked for one year in the sculpture conservation department at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London for her third year internship. After receiving her degree in 1987, she and her husband, Bob Marti, started their conservation practice specializing in decorative arts and sculpture in all media, with a focus on outdoor bronzes. Russell-Marti Conservation Services currently carries out conservation treatments and consulting in numerous states including Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, and New York. Clients include state and civic governments, as well as academic institutions and private individuals.

Marianne is committed to public outreach and has given lectures on conservation to audiences ranging from high school chemistry students to the AIC public lecture at the meeting in St. Louis. She has presented several papers on conservation treatments at AIC meetings and the Midwest Regional Conservation Guild. She is a Professional Associate of the AIC.
