Don Williams

Don Williams is Senior Furniture Conservator at MCI. He trained as traditional craftsman in furniture restoration, foundry patternmaking, and metal casting, and then received his BA from the University of Delaware. He joined the Smithsonian in 1984, and for many years directed their MA Program in Furniture Conservation. He is a past Chair of the AIC Wooden Artifacts Group and currently serves on the US Senate Curatorial Committee. He was the co-author of Saving Stuff (Simon&Schuster 2005).
